Corban Track’s Jason Bracken Tabbed CCC Field Athlete of the Week

LA GRANDE, Ore. – The Cascade Collegiate Conference (CCC) office announced on Monday that Corban University track & field standout Jason Bracken was named the CCC Field Athlete of the Week for his efforts this past weekend at the 2017 CCC Championships.

"Jason Bracken provided an exceptional overall performance for us," said Corban head coach Norm Berney. "He broke our school record for most total points, scoring 31 points towards our team total, and it was the first time that someone in a Corban uniform had ever scored in six different events."

Bracken's record-setting performance was highlighted by winning the High Jump in dramatic fashion on the final jump when he cleared a height of 6' 6 ¼". He also took third overall in the Decathlon (6,319 points), and landed on the podium in third in the Discus (145' 3"). Moreover, he scored points for Corban in the Javelin, the Triple Jump, and the Shot Put.

For his efforts at the CCC Championship meet, Bracken was also named the CCC Field Athlete of the Meet.
