SALEM, Ore. – Hosted on May 25-27, the annual NAIA Men's & Women's Outdoor Track & Field National Championships will feature some of the best track & field athletes from across the country. Among those competitors will be Corban's Jason Bracken and Michael Schmidt, who both have qualified to participate in the decathlon.

Bracken, who recorded a season-best mark in the Decathlon of 6319 points, ranks sixth among the top-16 qualifying competitors, while rookie standout Schmidt rounds out the top-10, ranking 10th with a season-best mark of 6151 points. Both Bracken and Schmidt will be first time contenders at the national level. Bracken qualified for Nationals last year, but was unable to compete due to injury.
Joining Bracken and Schmidt are a pair of seniors, and first-time national participants, Craig Boekenoogen and Zach Steele. Boekenoogen, who qualified for the 3000m Steeplechase, ran his personal-best time of 9:17.50 at the Cascade Conference Outdoor Track & Field Championships, capturing the CCC Title in convincing fashion. This time puts him in eighth place among the top-13 qualifying participants.
Steele, competing in the Marathon, qualified with an NAIA 'A' Standard time in the Half Marathon. He ran a personal-best time of 1:12:45.00 at the Cascade Half Marathon, placing him in 45th place among 71 qualifying competitors.
The 66th Annual NAIA Men's Outdoor Track & Field National Championships will be hosted at the Mickey Miller Blackwell Stadium in Gulf Shores, Ala., May 25-27. Live video will be available throughout the entire NAIA National Championships.
