CORVALLIS, Ore. – Corban University's Lindsay Asplund uncorked an NAIA 'A' standard time in the 400m Hurdles at the OSU High Performance Meet on Saturday, automatically qualifying for the NAIA National Championship Meet. On top of Asplund's performance, other school records were set for the Warriors on Saturday.

"It was another great day for Corban Track against some of the best athletes in the northwest," said Corban head coach Norm Berney. "Our coaches have our athletes peaking at the right time, and we are looking forward to the CCC Championship meet in a couple of weeks."
In the 400m Hurdles, Asplund competed against all NCAA Division I athletes, clocking a time of 1:02.65 for the NAIA 'A' standard mark. Asplund won her heat, and finished fourth overall at the meet, finishing only behind three University of Oregon runners.
On top of Asplund's performance, Nathan Martin continued his dominance during the 2018 campaign, resetting his own school record in the 100 Meters with a time of 10.75 seconds, taking fifth overall. He then also registered a time of 14.43 seconds in the 110m Hurdles.
In the 400m Hurdles for the Warrior men, Michael Schmidt hit an NAIA 'B' standard with a time of 54.84 seconds, running in the event for the first time in 2018.
In the 4x100 Relay, Corban's women's quartet set another school record, clocking a mark of 48.45 seconds, taking third overall in the race against NCAA Division I and NCAA Division II schools.
Corban will compete again at the CCC Championships in Hermiston, hosted by Eastern Oregon University. Competition will take place on May 11-12.
