KANSAS CITY, Mo. – The National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) released the 2025 Men's Wrestling Top 25 Preseason Coaches' Poll earlier this morning, where the Corban University Men's Wrestling program appeared within the top twenty teams in the country for a ninth-consecutive national poll following one of their most successful seasons in team history last school year. Fresh off the first individual national champion title and top ten national team finish for the Warriors, they'll start the 2025-26 season as the No. 16-ranked squad in the NAIA with a pair of returning All-Americans.

"Due to the rules of the ranking system, we have some guys missing from the individual polls that will undoubtedly make an impact for us as the season progresses," Corban head coach Nolan Harris explained regarding today's national preseason poll. "I'm sure there are some other schools out there is the same situation, as these early rankings are a good launching point for the season but we're refraining from putting too much stock into them. It'll be a fun season and we're excited to get started."
Early this past spring, the Warrior men's wrestling program clinched an eighth place national finish at the 2025 NAIA National Championships, marking the first top ten team placement in program history on the back of three All-American wrestlers. Two of those All-Americans will return to the mats for Corban this upcoming season, as redshirt senior Antonio Garcia and junior Isaiah Twait of the 285 and 184-weight classes will lead the Warrior wrestlers into battle.
Five different Corban student-athletes made appearances within their individual weight class rankings, including Garcia and Twait who are each ranked fourth in their respective classes. Senior Brayden Boyd is ranked 20th for 125lbs, senior Blake Runion is slated in 13th for 133lbs after a monster postseason climb last season, while junior Jr Downing is the third Warrior in the top ten of a weight class as he sits in seventh for 149lbs.
Corban men's wrestling is one of seven programs in the Cascade Collegiate Conference (CCC) to earn positions in this year's preseason poll, as the conference was well represented at the most recent national championship tourney with four of the top ten team finishers and eight of the top twenty-five.
The Navy and Gold will begin their 2025-26 regular season on Saturday, November 1st in La Grande, where No. 21-ranked Eastern Oregon University will host the Warriors for a pair of duals against North Idaho College and No. 14-ranked University of Providence at 12pm and 2pm, respectively.
