2024-2025: Appeared in 29 games for the navy and gold and started in 24 of them…Word tallied a total of 23.6 minutes per game…The junior guard averaged 13.8 points with 2.0 rebounds per game and had 34 assists this season…Word had a field goal percentage of .422, a three-point percentage of .357, and a free throw percentage of .705…Secured 43 steals and defended with 3 blocks for the Warriors…All-Conference Honoree…Member of the 2024-25 Corban Men’s Basketball team that finished in a tie for 5th-place in the Cascade Collegiate Conference standings, concluding their season in the CCC Quarterfinal round with an overall record of 15-14 and 13-9 in conference play. Two Warriors earned All-Conference recognition for their efforts in 2024-25, with two Academic All-District selections, four Academic All-Conference members, and four NAIA Scholar-Athletes…

Personal: Word enters the Corban basketball program after two years at Palomar College. In his four years of high school basketball, he earned all-conference, all-league, and first team honors. He also was the California state championship MVP and averaged 26 points per game.

Word is pursuing a kinesiology degree with plans of becoming a sports therapist after Corban.
