In the summer of 2018, Tim Kagey became the associate head coach of the Warrior men's team, and in December of 2018 was named the Corban University head men's soccer coach. Since joining the Navy and Gold coaching staff, Kagey has been at the forefront of the men's soccer program's ascent to dominance. Kagey later joined the Corban University women's soccer team as the interim head coach in the spring of 2019 and served as the Director of Soccer in 2020 and 2021 before focusing solely on the men’s program in 2022. After a two-year absence following his departure in the spring of 2023, Kagey returned to Corban in the summer of 2025 as the men’s soccer head coach, where he holds the highest winning percentage of any single head coach.

In his first year at the helm, Kagey led the Warriors to a historic season, which culminated in the program's first-ever undefeated campaign (17-0-3), it's seventh-consecutive berth in the NAIA National Tournament, and Cascade Collegiate Conference (CCC) Championships in both the CCC Regular-Season and CCC Tournament. Under his tutelage, a conference-leading eight Navy and Gold players were selected to the 2019 All-Conference teams, while he himself was named the CCC Head Coach of the Year.

The Corban University men's soccer team made appearances in the NAIA National Tournament in each of Kagey's first three seasons in leadership, including trips to the NAIA Final Site in both 2016 and 2018. The Warriors were ranked as high as No. 11 in the NAIA Coaches' Top-25 Poll in 2016, No. 5 in 2017, and No. 10 in 2018. The program has made sixth-consecutive trips in the NAIA National Tournament, dating back to 2013.

Kagey has mentored a number of players who have gone on to play at the professional level, including Jordan Farr (Indy Eleven-USL Championship) and Timur Zhividze (NISA).

In addition to coaching at Corban, Kagey also serves as an assistant coach on the Portland Timbers U23 team, helping guide the squad to the USL PDL Northwest Division Title and a playoff appearance in 2017. Prior to that in 2016, Kagey was an assistant coach for the Vancouver Victory team that won its first-ever league championship. Over 20 players that Kagey has coached with the U23 squad have gone on to compete at the MSL and USL levels.

Kagey is the head coach of three Capital Timbers FC teams, including the U18 Boys team that won the Oregon State Championship. Prior to working with Capital FC Timbers, he served as the Portland Timbers Youth Camp Director.

During his playing days following transferring from Oregon State University to play at Corban, Kagey was a team captain for three years, collecting NAIA All-America accolades twice. He led the squad to a pair of tournament championships, one regular-season title, and three national tournament appearances.

Kagey graduated from Corban University in 2015 with a Bachelor of Science in Psychology. He enjoys playing basketball and having a barbeque with family and friends. He and his wife Audrey and dog Maverick reside in Salem.
