"It's awesome as a coach to see different guys step up on a weekly basis," said Corban head coach Aaron Lewis. "This is a balanced team that is playing its best soccer at just the right time."
With 18 wins on the year now, Corban ties the program record for wins in a season, with the only other time the team had ever registered 18 wins being in 1996 when Lewis was a player on th team.
After weathering the early attacks from Carroll, the Warriors struck first in the 24th minute of play when Timur Zhividze received a through ball from Quamie Dinnall, and Zhividze pushed the ball between two defenders and ripped a rocket into the right-side netting, putting the Warriors up 1-0.
In the 34th minute, Travez Whyte made it 2-0 when he followed up a saved penalty kick and slotted home his shot into the back of the net to double the lead.
Carroll came out in the second half looking to get back into the contest, but the Warriors took away any ideas that the Fighting Saints may have had when Langdon Roscoe headed in a free kick from Armando Guevara just after a minute had been played in the second stanza to make it 3-0.
Carroll received a penalty-kick opportunity of its own not long after, however, but Warrior goalkeeper Jordan Farr made the perfect read and stuffed the chance, keeping the Fighting Saints out of the goal.
Carroll eventually did score once in the 63rd minute of play when James Lamont placed a shot into the far side-netting.
That would be all the Fighting Saints would get though as the Warriors possessed the ball well to close out the contest, not giving Carroll many other good looks at goal.
Farr proved to be huge for Corban in the victory, making seven total saves.
Corban (18-2) returns to the field on Monday at 3 p.m. for the CCC Tournament Championship match vs. the University of Great Falls. Great Falls advanced to the final after defeating Rocky Mountain College, 4-0, in Saturday's other semifinal.
The winner of Monday's 3 p.m. matchup will earn the CCC's second automatic bid to the NAIA National Championships. The match is set to be live-streamed and have live stats.
