SALEM, Ore. – Riding another Madison Wyllie grand slam and continued shut down pitching, the No. 16-ranked Corban University softball team completed the series sweep of (RV) Eastern Oregon University, winning Sunday's opener in five innings, 13-2, and the nightcap, 5-1. The triumphs extend Corban's winning streak to 12 games.

"We earned two more great wins today," said Corban head coach Abigail Farler. "It was so fun to watch so many kids produce big hits for us. Kasie really stepped up, and Wyllie had a great day. Our outfield showed what they are capable of defensively which was so fun!"
Corban, playing as the visiting team due to the location change of the games, jumped all over the Mountaineers in the top half of the first, scoring three quick runs before loading the bases with Wyllie stepping up to the dish. Wyllie did not waste any time, blasting a long ball over the left-field fence on the first pitch to clear the bases and put the Warriors up 7-0. For Wyllie, it was her third home run of the year and second grand slam in as many weeks.
EOU pulled one back in the second thanks to a home run from Haley Ebner, and the Mountaineers pulled one more back in the third, but the Warriors piled on five in the fourth, highlighted by a Kaylee Buhrkuhl RBI triple.
The game then ended in five innings due to the run rule, and in the win, Corban was led by Jessie Isham who remained red hot at the dish with a 3-for-4 showing and two RBI, while Mahina Chong, Kasie Kloempken, and Tatum Prechtel all recorded two hits apiece. Wyllie finished with a team-best four RBI.
In the circle, Sarah Probasco went 3.1 innings to earn the triumph, giving up five hits and two runs. Alyssa Vidal tossed 1.2 innings of two-hit ball, allowing no runs in the process.
Game two saw the Mountaineers score first in the second frame to take a 1-0 lead. Corban responded immediately in the third with four runs, and the middle of the order once again came through in the clutch, with Isham, Sam Woodley, and Kasie Kloempken all recording RBI hits for the Warriors.
Wyllie ripped an RBI double to right field in the fifth to make it 5-1, and that would be all Rachel White would need in the circle, as she finished off the complete-game performance, dispersing six hits and giving up just the one run while striking out three.
At the dish in the non-conference triumph, Megan Rybar went 3-for-3 with a run scored, while Woodley and Prechtel both finished with two hits.
"I thought our players ran the bases extremely well," said Farler. "We got great performances out of our pitchers again, and it was great to be able to show our fans at our field what we are capable of this year!"
In the loss, EOU's Amanda Smith pitched all seven innings, giving up 11 hits and five runs while striking out four.
Corban (14-4, 6-0 CCC) returns to the field next weekend when it hosts College of Idaho. Play is slated for Saturday and Sunday at Warrior Field.
