SALEM, Ore. – Despite playing in the squad's fourth-straight day of doubleheader action, the No. 14-ranked Corban University softball team showed no signs of fatigue on Tuesday in its battle with the University of Providence. The Warriors claimed a 5-2 win in the day's opener and a dominating 13-0 triumph in the finale, sealing the four-game sweep of the Argos.

"I'm grateful that we were able to walk away with two wins today," said head coach Abigail Farler. "We did not play our best ball in game one, but we were able to learn from it, adjust, and come back out with a stronger performance in game two."

The only contest of the series in which the Navy and Gold did not reach double-digit runs, game one featured a pair of strong performances in the circle between Corban's Sarah Probasco (5.1 innings pitched, two runs, one earned run) and Providence's Brieanna Clifford (seven innings pitched, five runs).
Taking the baton from Probasco was Baylee Day, who earned her first career win after an exceptional effort in relief. The senior out of Kennewick, Wash.—who had just made her season debut the day prior—came into a tight situation in the sixth inning, stranding the bases loaded to preserve a 2-2 deadlock.
The Warrior offense would go on to plate three crucial runs in the seventh to claim the triumph and clinch the Cascade Collegiate Conference (CCC) series sweep.
The bottom of the order got the rally started for the Warriors, as Megan Rybar reached first on a single, and nine-hitter Madison Wyllie followed that up with a base hit of her own. Tatum Prechtel delivered the biggest knock of the game, driving both Rybar and Wyllie in with a two-RBI double to give the Warriors the lead. Jessie Isham would trade places with her a couple of batters later, bringing her home on a two-bagger of her own.
It was a return to form for the Corban offense in the series finale, as the Warriors rattled off 12 hits and 13 runs en route to the victory. In total, the Warriors outscored the Argos 43-2 during the four-game swing.
Prechtel once again played a key part for the Navy and Gold in game two, going 3-for-3 out of the leadoff spot while scoring three times and driving in two.

Rachel White got the start in the circle, tossing two shutout innings before handing it off to Ally Crakes, who would finish the game with three scoreless frames. Crakes was awarded the win out of relief, marking her first of the spring campaign.
With the two victories, Corban both reached and surpassed the 20-win plateau for the 2019 season, moving to 21-5 (11-1 CCC) on the year.
The Warriors will now enjoy an extended period of rest due to this weekend's change of schedule; the team will not play again until March 27, when the squad visits Hillsboro, Ore. for a battle with NCAA Division I opponent Portland State. Following the battle with the Vikings, Corban will then return home for a crucial home set against Southern Oregon on March 29-30.
