OREGON CITY, Ore. – After Friday's historic performance in the combined events for the Corban University track & field program, the Warriors saw another school-record fall in the 1,500 meters courtesy of their talented tandem of Sydney Nichol (4:45.33) and Hannah Clarizio (4:45.39). Both members of the distance duo surpassed the program's 10-year standard (4:46.10), taking second and third in the event at the Clackamas Invite on Saturday.

"We had great weather today, and we saw multiple PRs," said head coach Norm Berney. "Sydney and Hannah both broke a school record that was set in 2009, our women's 4x400-meter relay ran a season-best time, with MacKenzie Wilson running a low 57-second anchor leg to get the win. Joshua Anderson added another victory in the triple jump, and overall, the team as a group finished the regular season on a high note."
The women's 4x400-meter relay team—consisting of Wilson, Lindsay Asplund, Kristi Childers, and Leah McClain—clocked a sub-four minute time (3:99.55) to take first in the event by almost five seconds.
Shelby Ferry qualified for the Cascade Collegiate Conference (CCC) Championships in the long jump (16' 4.5") and the high jump (4' 9.75"), despite having never competed in the high jump in her collegiate career. Kendra Murphy took third in the event, clearing a height of 5' 1.75".
Anderson spotlighted the men's side, claiming the title in the triple jump with his 43' 7.75" mark. That's a new personal-best for the talented young rookie.
Jacobe Croff, Seth Tripp, Stephen Anderson, and Shane Davis combined for a time of 3:26.94 in the 4x400-meter relay, taking second behind CCC-rival Eastern Oregon (3:24.57) in the event.
All in all, it was a strong finish to an already historic weekend for the Navy and Gold men's and women's track & field programs, adding further excitement as the CCC Championships rapidly approach.
A portion of the Warrior teams will compete at the Oregon State University High Performance Meet on Friday and Saturday (April 26-27), the final tune-up before the culminating conference meet in Ashland, Ore.
