HIGH SCHOOL: Graduated with honors from Jefferson High School in 2008 … Competed in track & field (4 years), football (2 years), swimming (2 years), and cross country (1 year) … Named team captain prior to junior and senior seasons … Finished 10th in the state in 2008 in the 200 meter dash thanks to a time of 23.64 … Also, brought home a "bronze" medal in the 400 meter run in a time of 52.14 as a senior … Helped Jefferson's 4x100 relay team to a state championship at the 2007 3A state meet … Also, ran one season of cross country for Jefferson High School before turning his attention to track full-time following his sophomore campaign.
