Corban Athletics

2024: Starting in 9 games out of 15 appearances, Castano collected 835 minutes… With 2 goals and 2 assists the junior midfielder tallied 6 points with a shot on goal percentage of .450… Member of the 2024 Corban Men’s Soccer team that finished 5-10-3 overall and 4-6-3 in conference play to finish 10th overall in the Cascade Collegiate Conference regular season standings. The program was led by newly appointed head coach Josh Rios Noonkester in his first year with the Warriors.

Personal: Another NCAA DII transfer for Coach Noonkester, Castano played in nearly every contest for Newberry College over the 2022 and 2023 fall seasons, starting in 11 games and tallying nearly 1,200 minutes on the pitch. Prior to the beginning of his college soccer career, he was an All-Region and First Team All-State honoree for Indian Land High School where he scored 14 goals and secured 22 assists during his senior season.

With aspirations of one day becoming an athletic director, Castano will be studying sports management in the pursuit of a business administration degree.
