Following an excellent career with the Warrior women’s cross country and track & field teams, Welling is now in her first year as an assistant coach at Corban University. She earned her Bachelor’s degree in Health Science in 2012, and recently completed her Bachelor’s degree in Nursing from Oregon Health & Science University in 2015.
While attending Corban as an undergraduate student, Welling competed all four years for both the cross country and track & field teams. In her track & field career, she participated in the Steeplechase, 800m, 1500m, and 4x400 Relay races, qualifying nationally in the Steeplechase her senior season. She also qualified for nationals in her final season of cross country.
In addition to her role as a coach at Corban, Welling currently works full-time as a Registered Nurse. She is also the administrative assistant for the Corban track & field program.
Welling resides in Salem, Ore. Her parents and brother live nearby, in Springfield, Ore. In her free time, she enjoys running (of course), hiking, snowboarding, snowshoeing, skydiving, kayaking, paddle boarding, and anything else that is outdoors. She also likes to spend her time catching up with friends or reading a good book.
