Nathan Swanson joined the Corban University track & field coaching staff in August of 2016 following a highly-successful running career as a Warrior.

As a captain during the 2014 and 2015 seasons for the Warrior track & field program, Swanson won the Cascade Collegiate Conference (CCC) individual Championship in the 400 Meters in 2015 with a career-best time of 48.34 seconds. In 2014, he led the 4x400 Relay squad to an 11th-place finish at the NAIA National Championships with a time of 3:15.76, while in 2015, he led the team to the CCC Title in the 4x400 Relay and an 11th-place finish at Nationals with a school-record time of 3:14.76. On top of running in the relays at nationals, he also competed in the 400 Meters as an individual, taking 14th overall in 2014 and 11th overall in 2015.

Swanson was named the Corban Male Athlete of the Year in 2015 and graduated in the spring of 2015 with a bachelor’s degree in Mathematics. Currently, he serves as the Operation Manager for Student Life at Corban University and has been in that role since May of 2016.

In his free time, he loves to run on the track, enjoys camping, and any sort of game. Swanson currently resides in Salem.
