2023: A thrower for the Warriors, competing in the Men’s discus, shot put, and hammer throw… Araki’s best hammer throw was marked 45.50 meters at the Lane CC Meet, ranking second best in program history… Threw the discus 37.90 meters at the Raider Invitational, placing sixth in the Corban record books… Recorded a mark of 12.24 meters in the shot put at the George Fox University Invite…
2022: Competed at the 2022 CCC Championships in the discus, shot put, and hammer throw…Araki hurled the hammer 44.90m which landed him at third all-time in Corban’s record books…
2021: Earned an eighth-place spot in Corban’s record books in the shot put with a toss of 12.63m…
Personal: Araki comes to Salem from the Hawaiian Islands, bolstering Corban’s throwing unit. A two-sport standout at Hawaii Technology Academy, not only did Araki enjoy success as a member of the school’s track & field team, but he also spent four years on the gridiron for the school.
