Todd Bos was named the head coach of the Corban University Men’s and Women’s Cross Country and Track & Field programs in the summer of 2021.
Entering his fifth year at the helm of the programs, Bos has overseen three individual National Championships by Warrior student-athletes. Valerie Schmidt (Heptathlon) and Robert Swoboda (10,000 meters) were crowned as Corban University’s first ever Women’s and Men’s NAIA National Champions, on the same day, in May of 2022. In the winter of 2023, Swoboda secured his second national championship after taking first among NAIA competitors in the 2023 California International Marathon, clinching the NAIA’s inaugural marathon title.
Gracie Long was also named an All-American in the Women’s 3000m steeplechase in 2022, after a sixth place finish at Outdoor Nationals. In 2023, Swoboda earned another All-American finish in Cross Country, after a fourth place finish at Nationals. Weeks later, Swoboda added another individual National title, after he won the NAIA Marathon in December of 2023. Braydon Lee earned an All-American honor, after finishing fourth in the 800 at Indoor Nationals in March of 2024. Jack Gladfelter finished eighth at Cross Country Nationals, earning All-American in November of 2024. Kayla Morgan finished fourth in the High Jump at Indoor Nationals in March of 2025. In total, Bos has helped lead Warrior athletes to three individual National Championships, eleven All-Americans, five individual Cascade Collegiate Conference Championships, and sixteen individual National qualifiers from 2021-2025.
In addition to the athletic success of his teams, Bos’ programs consistently perform exceptionally well in the classroom, having numerous CCC Academic All-Conference, NAIA Daktronic Scholar-Athletes, and CSC Academic All-District and All-Americans under his watchful eye. His programs are consistently at the top of the Corban Athletic Department for Team GPA marks and in total academic award winners.
Prior to becoming Head Coach, Bos served as an assistant coach for the Navy and Gold cross country and track and field teams, giving him a detailed knowledge of the programs. As a key part of the Warrior coaching staff, Bos helped train Corban athletes to several historic performances. Previous to that, Bos served as the head coach at St. Paul High School, where he coached for 15 years in total. A member of the school’s Hall of Fame for his exceptional contributions, Bos led the school to three state championships and nine top-three team finishes.
Possessing a decorated athletic career of his own, Bos won numerous accolades during his collegiate career as a cross country and track & field standout at George Fox University (then George Fox College). He was an All-American in the 800-meters, and still lays claim to the school’s record in the event. He was an Academic All-American in both track & field and cross country and is a part of the George Fox Hall of Fame.
The goal for the program Bos said was “to keep the focus on Christ as our cornerstone, while emphasizing excellence in the classroom and on the athletic field. In all things, we want the program to praise and honor the Lord.”
Married to his wife Susan, Todd has four children: Jonathan, Micah, Benett, and Aanchal. His hobbies include time with family, a few rounds of disc golf, and coaching track and field.
