Biography

2024-2025: Member of the 2024-25 Corban Men’s Wrestling program that finished third at the CCC Championships, with two CCC Weight Class Champions. The team qualified nine student-athletes for the 2025 NAIA National Championships, with 3 NAIA All-American titles, with one of them being Corban’s first individual national champion in the 157- weight class. The program set new all-time records for most dual wins (10), highest winning percentage for a single season (.714), most team points in a single tournament (153.0) and holds the best all-time coaching record (16-7). In addition, the team had their highest finish in the NAIA Top 25 Coaches’ Poll (13th) and finished in eighth place at the NAIA National Championships for their best finish in program history.

2019: Was a regular at 149 pounds for the inaugural Warrior men’s wrestling squad that sent two wrestlers to the NAIA National Championships and earned one individual CCC title… Participated in 12 dual matches and won three of them…

Personal: Castellanos started wrestling in his ninth-grade year of high school, and was a three-sport athlete at John R. Rogers High School. Over the years he earned eight Outstanding Academic Scholar awards, while also winning the Osborne Wrestling Award. During his senior year, he won three separate deciding matches for league duals, propelling his team to a league title victory.

Castellanos plans on majoring in criminal justice and minoring in forensic psychology.
