Biography

2024-2025: A graduate student member of the Corban men’s wrestling program…James competed in 19 matches this season for the navy and gold…He had an overall record of 11 wins and 10 losses…James entered the CCC Championship Tournament as the sixth seed in the 197-pound weight class with a record of 11-6…Qualified and competed in the NAIA National Tournament for the Warriors…Member of the 2024-25 Corban Men’s Wrestling program that finished third at the CCC Championships, with two CCC Weight Class Champions. The team qualified nine student-athletes for the 2025 NAIA National Championships, with 3 NAIA All-American titles, with one of them being Corban’s first individual national champion in the 157- weight class. The program set new all-time records for most dual wins (10), highest winning percentage for a single season (.714), most team points in a single tournament (153.0) and holds the best all-time coaching record (16-7). In addition, the team had their highest finish in the NAIA Top 25 Coaches’ Poll (13th) and finished in eighth place at the NAIA National Championships for their best finish in program history.

Personal: After completing his undergrad at Menlo College, James joins the Navy and Gold as a graduate student with unmatched wrestling experience. James was a two-time conference placer, national qualifier and aided his team to a third and fourth place national finish. In high school, James was a three-time conference champion, three-time Oregon state placer, seeing the state finals two times, while ending as an OSAA state champion in 2020.

James is pursuing his master’s in business administration with hopes of being a business owner after Corban.
