2024-2025: A sophomore member of the Corban men’s wrestling program…Twait competed in 28 matches this season with an overall record of 21 wins and 7 losses…Entered in the CCC Championship Tournament as the fifth seed in the 184 pound weight class, finishing in first place as a CCC Weight Class Champion…Competed in the NAIA National Tournament for the Warriors, finishing in 6th place and scoring 11.0 team points…Holds the ninth place spot in the Corban record books for most career wins with 45 wins…Tied for seventh place for most career pins with 13 pins…Placed at third for the highest career win percentage with a .714…NAIA All-American…Academic All-Conference…NAIA Daktronics Scholar-Athlete…Member of the 2024-25 Corban Men’s Wrestling program that finished third at the CCC Championships, with two CCC Weight Class Champions. The program set new all-time records for most dual wins (10), highest winning percentage for a single season (.714), most team points in a single tournament (153.0) and holds the best all-time coaching record (16-7). In addition, the team had their highest finish in the NAIA Top 25 Coaches’ Poll (13th) and finished in eighth place at the NAIA National Championships for their best finish in program history.
2023-2024: A freshman member of the men’s wrestling squad…Twait competed in 27 matches at 184 pounds…He completed the season with an overall record of 20 wins and 7 losses…2023 Mike Clock Open Champion…For a single season, Twait has the 10th most wins in Corban Men’s wrestling history with 25 wins and is tied for the 8th most pins in a single season with 8 pins, along with being tied for the 10th highest win percentage in a single season at .694… Member of the 2023-24 Corban Men’s Wrestling program that completed the most successful season of competition since the inaugural season back in 2019-20. The team qualified six student-athletes for the 2024 NAIA National Championships, with yet another NAIA All-American title being earned via a runner-up finish in the 157-weight class. The program set new all-time records for most dual wins (6), fewest dual losses (3), best winning percentage for a single season (.667), most consecutive dual wins (5), and most team points in a single tournament (91.5). In addition, the team tied their highest finish in the NAIA Top 20 Coaches’ Poll (24th), and finished in the top 20 at the NAIA National Championships for their best finish in program history.
Personal: Prior to achieving his high school All-American honors, Twait signed with the Navy and Gold as a four-time state placer with Meridian High School, earning a state championship, a state runner-up trophy, and two finalist spots in the Reno Tournament of Champions. Twait, who becomes the second member of his family to wrestle collegiately after his father wrestled at North Dakota State University, was also part of three team state championships with Meridian and was ranked 27th in the country for the 182 weight class while competing at the high school level.
Twait will be studying biomedical science while at Corban and intends on becoming a Doctor of Physical Therapy upon completing his wrestling career.
