Darren Martin

After playing during some of the Warriors' most successful seasons in the late 1990s, Darren Martin joined the Corban men’s soccer coaching staff in March of 2013 as the Director of Soccer Operations.

As a part of the Cascade Collegiate Conference (CCC) coaching staff of the year in 2013, Martin led Corban to its first CCC Tournament Title since 1997 and the Warriors first CCC regular-season title since 1998.  The Warriors finished the season with a record of 16-2-2 overall and 11-1-2 mark in conference play during the regular season.  With this record, the Warriors earned the program’s first-ever berth into the NAIA National Tournament.

In 2014, Martin helped guide Corban to its second-straight CCC Tournament Championship en route to another trip to the NAIA National Championships for the second time in as many years. Since then, Martin has played a role in the squad's historic run of seven-straight NAIA National Tournament appearances, including a pair of trips to the NAIA Final 16.

Martin has coached soccer in the Salem region for over a decade, leading the East Linn Christian High School varsity program and Jefferson High School varsity program during that time.  During that time, Martin led Jefferson High School to its first-ever playoff appearance in 2010.

In addition to his coaching responsibilities with the Warriors, Martin serves as a History Teacher at Jefferson High School.  Martin is married to his wife Karen and has four children - Noah, Isaac, Isaiah, and Renae.  They currently attend Salem Heights where they are involved in leading a small group and volunteer in Rock Salt on Sunday mornings.
