Imig made his way to Corban in 2011 after serving as the head girls varsity volleyball coach at Salem Academy Christian Schools for four years.  

After receiving his Bachelor of Arts in History from Dordt College in 1998, Imig went on to receive his Master’s degree in Education from Dordt College in 2003. Five years later, he earned his Doctor in Education from George Fox University. 

Imig’s coaching career began at Intermountain Christian College in Salt Lake City, as he served as the head girls varsity volleyball coach in 1998. One year later, he re-located to Salem, Ore., to become an assistant girls volleyball coach at Salem Academy Christian Schools from 1999-2002. Imig’s path then led him to Capital Christian High School in Sacramento, Calif., as he became the head boys varsity volleyball coach and the assistant girls volleyball coach until 2007. In his final year at Capital Christian, he notched Coach of the Year honors. 

Imig resides in Salem, Ore., and is married to his wife, Jennifer. They have three children: Isaiah, Arie, and Ruby. In his free time, Imig enjoys hanging out with family, playing or watching sports, and reading.
