Corban Athletics

Marty Burdick joined the Corban University Men’s Basketball staff alongside head coach Wayne Mendezona after playing for him at Northwest University and winning the NCCAA Div II conference championship before eventually playing in the National Championship in Marion, Indiana. He then joined Coach Mendo as his Assistant Coach at NU, where he helped build multiple winning seasons as well as an NAIA Top 20 National Ranking going to the Conference Tournament each season.

After Northwest, he took a head coaching position at Northwest High SChool in Lacey, Washington where he coached his younger brother and posted the program’s top winning season since the inception of the team. Following his time at Northwest HS, Burdick held various head coaching positions at high schools such as Westview and Franklin Academy (NC) as well as assistant coaching positions at The Evergreen State College and Portland Community College.

Coach Burdick is a native of Olympia, Washington where he went to Tumwater High School and much of his family still resides in the area.
