Melissa Martin

Martin joined the Corban University Athletic Training staff in July of 2022. She graduated from George Fox University in 2008 with a Bachelor of Science in Health and Human Performance with concentrations in Athletic Training and pre-teaching Physical Education.

While at George Fox, she led the Bruin Women’s basketball team to three conference championships and three NCAA tournament appearances. She also competed for the Bruins’ track team as a heptathlete. After graduating, she worked for ProActive Physical Therapy as their Marketing Director and as the Head ATC for Oregon City High School. In addition, Martin played for the Portland Energy basketball team for two seasons and developed a Strength and Conditioning summer program for high school students.

Since moving to Silverton in 2013, she has provided ATC coverage for a variety of area schools and sports teams. During that time, she’s also served as Silverton High School’s assistant varsity basketball coach since 2018, winning a State Championship and multiple state tournament appearances. 

Martin lives in Silverton with her husband Andrew and their three children, Leah, Isaac and James. Her family helped start True Light Church in Silverton, and they remain very involved there. She enjoys being a mama, working out, leading Bible studies, gardening and spending time with friends and family.
