Nolan Harris

Nolan Harris was announced as the third head coach in Corban men’s wrestling program history in the summer of 2023 after serving as the Warriors’ associate head coach during the 2022-23 academic school year. He began his career in coaching wrestling as an assistant for Southern Oregon University in 2003 under Hall of Fame coach Mike Ritchey. The following year he assisted at Sprague High School with current Corban assistant coach Kary Hadden. He began his 14-year head coaching career at North Medford High School in 2007.

While at the helm of North Medford, it took 3 short years for Harris to lead a Black Tornado team that scored just 2 points at the 6A State Tournament prior to his arrival to 120 points, a 3rd place finish and the school’s first-ever team trophy. In his 6 years as the head coach, the Black Tornado finished conference runner-up 4 times, 12 conference champions, 18 state placers, and 4 state finalists.

In 2015 Harris took over as the Sprague High School Wrestling coach. In his 6 seasons at Sprague, the team won 6 conference titles and earned 5 team trophies at the 6A State Tournament—twice finishing as the state runner-up. The team had a conference dual meet record of 42-2 with 37 conference champions, 42 state placers, 19 state finalists, and 11 state champions. He has been honored as Coach of the Year 6 times throughout his coaching career. His head coaching career accomplishments include:

Harris earned a master’s degree in Education from Western Oregon University in 2007 and a Bachelor of Arts in English and Writing from Southern Oregon University in 2004. He competed in wrestling while at SOU and was a team captain, three-time NAIA All-American, and a member of the 2001 NAIA National Championship team. He graduated from Sprague High School in 1999 where he was a team captain and three-time OSAA state placer.
