Sophomore Joash Panglinan turned in the best individual performance Saturday at the Erik Anderson Memorial Icebreaker thanks to a third place finish in the long jump.

Quintet Qualifies at Season-Opening Icebreaker

McMINNVILLE, Ore. – A quintet of Warriors qualified for this year's Cascade Collegiate Conference Championships, as Corban's men's track & field team competed at the season-opening Erik Anderson Memorial Icebreaker hosted by Linfield College.

Leading the five Warrior individuals that qualified for the upcoming CCC Championships in May was sophomore Joash Panglinan (Honolulu, Hawaii) with a fourth place finish in the long jump thanks to a leap of 6.44 meters.

Joining Panglinan at this year's conference championship meet will be the following three Warrior individuals...

* Senior David Anderson (Salem, Ore.) - 200 meter dash (23.26 seconds - 5th place)
* Sophomore Taylor Adrian (Portland, Ore.) - 10,000 meter run (32:49.06 - 10th place)
* Freshman James Myrvold (Sandy, Ore.) - High Jump (1.88 meters - 5th place)
* Freshman Zach Conlee (Milton-Freewater, Ore.) - Discus (34.24 meters - 16th place)

Also competing Saturday for Corban was sophomore David Brown (Meridian, Idaho) in the 5,000 meter run, as the second-year Warrior finished 10th overall thanks to a time of 16:24.89. Corban's 4x400 meter relay team that featured Anderson, sophomore Bryce Petersen (Salem, Ore.), Myrvold, and senior Ben Search (Battle Ground, Wash.) finished third overall with a time of 3:28.38.

Corban's track & field team will return to the oval on Thursday, March 17th, at the annual two-day Charles Bowles Spring Break Classic hosted by Willamette University. The opening day's events will begin at 4:00 p.m. at McCullough Stadium in Salem.
