DAY #1 RESULTS
SALEM, Ore. – Sophomores
Taylor Adrian (Portland, Ore.) and
David Brown (Meridian, Idaho) ran on the opening day of the annual Willamette Invitational, as Corban's men's track & field team began competition Friday at McCullough Stadium.
Adrian, who took part in the 1,500 meter run, placed seventh out of 49 runners with a Cascade Collegiate Conference automatic qualifying time of 4:04.09. The second-year Warrior ran the fifth fastest time in the conference so far this season and became the first member of Corban's men's track & field team to qualify for this year's CCC Championships in the event.
Brown, who already qualified for the CCC Championships, finished sixth overall in the 3,000 meter steeplechase bettering his previous CCC qualifying time with a school-record 9:46.23. The second-year runner posted the fifth fastest time in the conference this year.
Corban's men's track & field team will return to the oval tomorrow – Saturday, April 2nd – for the final day of the Willamette Invitational in Salem at McCullough Stadium beginning at 9:00 a.m.
