FINAL RESULTS
SALEM, Ore. – Corban's men's and women's track & field teams competed in a dual meet against cross town rival and NCAA Division III member Willamette Thursday at McCullough Stadium with a pair of school records being broken in the men's 100 meter dash and women's pole vault.
Freshman
Tamara Evans won the pole vault clearing the bar at a school-record height of 2.65 meters (8-feet, 8.25-inches) to outlast Willamette's Clara Timpe by almost a full foot. Meanwhile, fellow freshman
Brett Johnson won the men's 100 meter dash with a school-record time of 11.09 seconds outlasting a quartet of runners by nearly 0.20 seconds.
Corban would win eight events on the women's side and five on the men's side, as the Warriors and Bearcats were seperated by a mere three event wins on the afternoon.
For the women, junior
Eliya Kohl won the 100 meter dash with a time of 13.36 seconds before freshman
Haley Holboke defeated Warrior teammate and fellow freshman
McKenzie Poe in the 400 meter dash with a time of 1:07.51 compared to Poe's time of 1:15.02.
Freshman
Emily Childers would take part in the 800 meter run finishing second with a time of 2:27.19, while junior
Rachael Estabrook captured the 1,500 meter title thanks to a time of 5:00.83 that was over five seconds faster than the next runner. Poe would also take part in the 1,500 meter run finishing third with a time of 5:38.32.
In the women's 100 meter hurdles, Kohl finished third with a time of 17.05 seconds before senior
Jocelynn Smith captured the 400 meter hurdles title with a time of 1:07.39 that was 0.21 seconds faster than the race runner-up. Estabrook would also run in the 400 meter hurdles finishing third thanks to a time of 1:08.99.
Corban would defeat Willamette in the 4x400 meter relay, as Childers, sophomore Hannah Whitehead, Smith, and Estabrook would post a combined time of 4:16.47 to win by more than 17 seconds.
In the long jump, Kohl would win the event with a leap of 5.00 meters (16-feet, 5-inches) with junior
Kelsey Childers finishing fourth in the shot put with a throw of 3.71 meters (12-feet, 2.25-inches).
Senior
Rachel Newby would be the only participant in the javelin, as she recorded a throw of 36.93 meters (121-feet, 2-inches) to win the event.
On the men's side, freshman
Nathan Swanson aided Johnson's victory with a win in the 400 meter dash thanks to a time of 50.24 seconds. Four other Warriors – senior

Ben Search, freshman
Seth West, and junior
Bryce Petersen – also took part in the 400 meter dash, as the quartet all broke the 53-second mark.
In the 800 meter run, junior
David Brown would finish second thanks to a time of 2:02.70 before sophomore
Kyle Croft captured his second 400 meter hurdles title this season with a time of 58.12 seconds. Freshman
Chris Doxtator and sophomore
Chris McGehee would also run in the 400 meter hurdles race finishing third and fourth, respectively, with times of 1:04.42 and 1:07.19.
Freshman

John Trimble would take part in the 3,000 meter steeplechase event, as Weber finished second thanks to a time of 10:17.59 and Trimble was fifth with a time of 10:34.16.
Corban's relay teams would capture both the 4x400 and 4x800 meter races, as the team of Croft, Petersen, Goins, and Swanson won the 4x400 meter relay in a combined time of 3:33.00. A second quartet of Warriors would take part in the 4x400 meter relay, as the team of freshman

Jacob Bowdoin, Search, and senior
Erik Cronrath would finish second thanks to a combined time of 3:34.38.
In the 4x800 meter relay, the team of junior
Jacob Bowdoin, freshman
Austin Koos, Search, and Goins would post a combined time of 8:10.38 to win the event.
Sophomore
Zach Conlee and freshman
Jack Lander would finish third and sixth, respectively, in the shot put with throws of 11.70 meters (38-feet, 4.75-inches) and 10.92 meters (35-feet, 10-inches).
The aforementioned duo would also compete in the discus and hammer throw with Conlee finishing second and fifth, respectively, while Landers posted finishes of third and sixth, respectively. The highlight of the two events would happen when Conlee set a personal best in the discus with a career-best throw of 37.90 meters (124-feet, 4-inches).
Corban's men's and women's track & field teams will have a handful of athletes competiting this weekend – March 16th & 17th – at the Pacific Preview in both the heptathlon and decathlon beginning at 9:00 a.m. in Forest Grove.
