FINAL RESULTS

KLAMATH FALLS, Ore. – Corban's 4x400 meter relay team set a new school record en route to finishing third in the event, as the Warriors closed out the Cascade Collegiate Conference Championships in sixth place overall with 58 points Saturday at John F. Moehl Stadium on the campus of Oregon Institute of Technology.

In the final team totals, Concordia captured its seventh straight CCC crown with a combined 237 points finishing ahead of Southern Oregon (181 points), The College of Idaho (121.50), Eastern Oregon (108), Warner Pacific (60.50), Corban, championship-host Oregon Tech (28), Northwest (17), and Northwest Christian (5).

The Warriors' record-breaking relay team consisted of senior Erik Cronrath, junior Bryce Petersen, freshman Nathan Swanson, and freshman Jacob Ybarra. The Corban quartet clocked a time of 3:16.82 missing the NAIA's automatic qualifying time by 0.82 seconds. Concordia and Southern Oregon both earned "A" qualifying times, as the Cavaliers and Raiders finished 1-2 in the day's final event with times of 3:14.51 and 3:15.12, respectively.

Corban's day would begin with sophomore Zach Conlee and junior Taylor Wilkins taking part in the shot put, as the duo finished 13th and 14th, respectively, with throws of 12.03 (39-feet, 5.75-inches) and 11.60 (38-feet, 0.75-inches) meters.

Next up for the Warriors was sophomore Jordan Hatfield in the pole vault, as he finished 10th overall after clearing the bar at 3.65 meters (11-feet, 11.75-inches).

Hatfield would also take part in the final field event of the day, as he finished seventh overall in the javelin with a throw of 53.89 meters (176-feet, 10-inches) en route to earning the team's first point of the day.

In the 800 meter run, junior Jacob Bowdoin would finish fifth overall thanks to a time of 1:56.52 that also earned the team four points. Seniors Ben Search and Caleb Goins also ran in the race finishing 14th and 16th, respectively, with times of 2:01.52 and 2:01.91.

A quintet of Warriors – sophomore Kyle Croft, Hatfield, sophomore Chris McGehee, freshman Chris Doxtator, and Wilkins – would take part in the 400 meter hurdles finishing seventh, eighth, 12th, 13th, and 15th, respectively. Croft and Hatfield would earn points for the team, as Croft clocked a time of 57.14 seconds and Hatfield turned in a time of 58.54 seconds.

In the 200 meter dash, the trio of Ybarra, Swanson, and freshman Brett Johnson all earned points for the team thanks to finishes of fifth, sixth, and eighth, respectively. The Warrior trio registered times of 22.54, 22.64, and 22.72 seconds en route to earning a combined eight points.

Freshman John Weber was the lone Warrior to take part in the 5,000 meter run, as the first-year Corban runner finished 18th overall with a time of 17:27.91.

Unfortunately, Corban's season came to an end with no athletes earning qualifying marks or times for the NAIA Outdoor Track & Field National Championships later this month in Indiana.
