GREAT FALLS, Mont. – The Corban University men's soccer team went on the road against the University of Great Falls on a windy afternoon on Friday, and for the sixth-straight match this year, the Warriors registered a win and a shutout, winning by a final score of 2-0. For Corban, this start to the season ties the school record from 2013 of six-consecutive wins to start a campaign.

"This trip is bringing our group closer together," said head coach Aaron Lewis. "The challenge of the travel, and quality opponents are demanding us to be coordinated and assertive. Our defense, led by our back line was professional for 90 minutes."
In what was Corban's first Cascade Collegiate Conference (CCC) match of the 2015 campaign, the Warriors knew it was going to be crucial to dictate the pace of play and jump in front first.
The Warriors did just that when junior forward Quamie Dinnall (May Pen, Jamaica) scored the go-ahead goal in the 24th minute to give Corban the lead.
In the second stanza, Dinnall served as the creator, setting junior forward Nathaniel Cheney (Clarkston, Wash.) up for the score, and Cheney made no mistake, finishing his opportunity and doubling Corban's advantage in the 88th minute.
For the entire match, the Warrior backline and entire team worked together to secure another shutout, stifling the Argos' attacks on each opportunity they had. Sophomore goalkeeper Jordan Farr (Turner, Ore.) registered four saves on the day in his fifth shutout of the season.
"We look forward to recovering tomorrow, spending time as a group, and preparing for the next one," said Lewis.
Corban (6-0, 1-0 CCC) returns to the pitch on Sunday when it takes on Carroll College in Helena, Mont. Kickoff is set for 12 p.m. PST.
