"It was great to see our guys come out with energy and a competitive spirit for 40 minutes," said Corban head coach Mitch Freeman. "We shot the ball well both halves and we were able to take care of the ball! Warner Pacific is a tough matchup because of their size and athleticism. We will enjoy this for the short moment and then prepare for one of the best shooting teams in the conference in Multnomah tomorrow night."

The Warriors began the game shooting well from deep, with Mike Seng, Dalton Patchen and AJ Hodges all sinking from downtown early. The Warriors built a sizeable advantage in the first 20 minutes, but Warner Pacific did well to cut into the deficit and make it just a five-point game at the break.

In the second stanza, Corban remained hot from beyond the arc, and almost everyone was getting in on the action, as Jaxon Hughes, Seng, Hodges, Patchen, Beau Tilleman, and Denis Kirichenko all finished the evening with made three-pointers. Once again, the Knights made a few runs at the Warriors, but big shot after big shot went in for Corban, as the Navy and Gold left the building with the victory.

Patchen finished the night with a career-best 24 points on a 9-for-12 shooting effort to go with seven boards and three steals.

Hodges also had himself a ballgame, scoring 22 points while hitting a team-best five shots from deep. Additionally, Hughes totaled 14 points and dished out a team-leading six assists in the win.

The Warriors shot 52.6% overall from the field and went 17-for-35 from downtown. In addition, Corban was effective from the charity stripe on Friday, going 12-for-16 at the line. Moreover, the Warriors won the rebounding battle, nabbing 37 while holding the Knights to just 27.

For the Warner Pacific (10-6, 2-4 CCC), it was Jalen Ballard leading the way with 20 points, while Collin Malcolm tallied 17 points in the defeat. In addition, Brandon Bell finished 5-for-8 from the floor with 13 points.

Corban (11-5, 2-4 CCC) returns to the court tomorrow when it hosts Multnomah University. Tipoff is slated for 7:30 p.m.
