The standout harrier from Ukiah, Calif. wasn't the only Warrior to set a new individual standard, as every competing member of the Navy and Gold men's roster established a new personal record at the end of Saturday's action.

"Our men's team made solid progress, with all eight runners achieving personal records in the 8K," said head coach Norm Berney. "The team has set a goal to be better every week and we are seeing some results from all of their hard work. Another encouraging note is that nearly every runner that ran today is an underclassman, which bodes well for the future of our men's program."

Shane Davis was the next Warrior to cross the finish line, clocking a time of 26:40.6 and finishing 55th. He was followed closely by Andrew Sagert, who registered a 26:46.5 mark en route to a 59th-place effort.

Rookie Zachary McCammon was impressive in his 75th-place finish, crossing the finish line at 27:24.8. Nikolas Carter rounded out the Navy and Gold top-five, placing 80th with a time of 27:34.8.

The Corban women also finished in sixth as a unit, with Sydney Nichol and Gracie Long leading the charge. Both Nichol and Long turned in personal records for the Bush Pasture Park course, with Nichol landing in 12th overall with a time of 18:52.6, and Long finishing in 22nd after clocking a time of 19:32.4.

Annabel Kroontje took 44th individually, crossing the finish line with a 20:13.0 mark. The fourth Warrior harrier to finish was Kira Bowers, who checked in at 21:26.5 (75th). Maddy Steele was the fifth member of the Corban roster to cross the line, clocking a time of 22:45.6 and placing 115th overall.

"The ladies' team had a solid race, but we have some work to do in getting everyone caught up after commitments, injuries, and class conflicts," Berney added. "If they continue to put in the time, we can finish the season with a flourish. Our goal is to keep improving and be prepared for our next race."

The Warrior men's and women's cross country teams will now look ahead to the Warner Pacific XC Classic on October 19, the last full-squad tune-up before the Cascade Collegiate Conference (CCC) Championships on November 8.
