ELLENSBURG, Wash. – The (RV) Corban University men's basketball team traveled to Ellensburg, Wash. for a mid-week contest against the Central Washington University Wildcats, an NCAA Division II opponent. The Wildcats' shooting would prove to be too much to handle, as the Warriors were defeated, 82-67.

The Warriors had three players that scored in double-figures in the loss. Jake Estep (14), Elijah Welch (13), and Beau Roggenbach (12) were the leaders of the Navy and Gold offense, as they helped shoot their team to a 41.2% clip from the field.

Estep's success came frequently due to aggressive offense, which often forces fouls and led him to the line. He ended up attempting seven free-throws, all of which he saw go through the net. His 7-of-7 showing from the line accounted for half of his points, as he made three field goals to make up the other half. Estep also added five rebounds to the team's tally, which was good for third-most on the team in the matchup

Roggenbach's steady display of consistency equaled 12 points and seven rebounds in the bout. Unfortunately, his stability down low was not enough to boost the Warriors to their seventh win of the season.

The Warriors had a tough time with finding the open man for easy baskets in the game, as the Navy and Gold assisted on just four baskets out of their 21 total makes, while the Wildcats assisted on 14 out of 34.

Central Washington had a blistering 50.7% field goal mark against Corban. Much of this was due to their stunningly effective paint presence in the tilt. The Wildcats scored 42 points in the paint against the Warriors on Tuesday night, which was good for over half of the team's points.

Davon Bolton was stellar for the Wildcats, as he shot a magnificent 7-of-13 (53.8%) from the field, and 4-of-7 (57.1%) from three-point land. He dropped 18 points on the Warriors while also picking up three rebounds and two assists in the contest.

Corban (6-4) will have to wait until December 3 to get back into the win column, hosting Northwest Christian University. The matchup against the Beacons will be the first Cascade Collegiate Conference (CCC) contest of the season for the Warriors.
