"We had a great day today! Offensively it was fun to watch so many kids in our lineup come up with big hits," said Corban head coach Abigail Farler. "Our pitching was solid and Baylee provided great relief innings for us. Our defense covered a lot of ground and made great stops in both games. I thought pitching and defense worked together very well to earn the shutouts."
The games against Providence are being played in Salem due to bad field conditions in Montana.
Game one saw the Warriors jump all over the Argos in the first frame, plating seven runs to nab the early advantage. Three runs in the second and third innings did more than enough to put the Warriors in a comfortable spot to secure the five-inning triumph.
In the victory, Tatum Prechtel and Kaylee Buhrkuhl both recorded a pair of hits for the Warriors, with Buhrkuhl racking up a team-leading four RBI.
In the circle, Sarah Probasco went four innings in the win, allowing just two hits in the shutout.
Game two was more of the same, but this time it was the second inning in which the Warriors piled on eight runs, highlighted by a Megan Rybar two-run home run and an Alyssa Doty three-run home run. For Doty, it marked her first-career long ball.
The Warriors would add another homer in the third when Woodley launched one over the left-field fence, and from there it was great defense all across the field that led to the triumph.
Doty finished 2-for-3 with three RBI and two runs scored, while Woodley went 3-for-3 with three RBI and a run scored.

Rachel White earned the victory in the nightcap, tossing four innings while giving up just one hit and striking out two. Baylee Day came on for the second time on the day, finishing off the contest to maintain the shutout.
In the loss, Shayla Cole went 2-for-2 at the plate for the Argos.
Corban (19-5, 10-1 CCC) returns to the field on Tuesday for another doubleheader against Providence, beginning at Warrior Field at 10 a.m.
