SALEM, Ore. – In a rematch of the 2020 Cascade Collegiate Conference (CCC) Tournament Championship, presented by U.S. Bank, the No. 8-ranked Corban University volleyball team earned a four-set victory (24-26, 25-16, 25-21, 25-20) over No. 12-ranked Eastern Oregon University for the second-straight season, capping off a sweep of both the 2021 CCC Regular-Season and Tournament titles.

The Mountaineers came out with a vengeance, edging the Warriors in a gripping first set (26-24). Corban issued a resounding answer, however, taking each of the next three games to clinch the title on its home court.
For the second-straight night, Rylee Troutman led the Warriors in kills, registering 19 (.211 hitting percentage) in the victory. Conference Player of the Year Avari Ridgway also turned in an elite performance, notching 15 putaways and 18 digs.

Allyson Reid came up with numerous clutch blocks, leading all performers with six block assists. Ridgway and Cora Furman were each in on four stuffs at the net, themselves. Warrior libero Kealani Ontai turned in a handful of sprawling digs to keep rallies alive for the Navy and Gold, finishing with 23 in total.
Jadyn Mullen led the Warrior setting tandem with 31 assists—just one off her season high—while Ciarra Judson added 15.
"Eastern is a well-coached and talented team," added McLain. "We knew we had to keep the pressure on, play as a unit, and fight through each point!"
The Mountaineers were paced by Breanna Shafer, who ended the afternoon with 13 kills on a .256 hitting percentage. Mountie libero Hailey Arritola registered a game-high 28 digs defensively, and Hannah Ledgerwood (20) and Alexis McMurtrey (14) combined for 34 assists.
With the win, Corban now has more triumphs (28) in 2021 than in any other season since the turn of the century. Saturday's CCC Tournament title represents the fourth in the program's history.
Both teams have already secured automatic berths to the NAIA Tournament, and they will await their NAIA Opening Round locations and opponents, which will be announced on Monday, November 15 at 11 a.m. CT.
Corban (28-2) will take some time to savor this weekend's results before turning the page and preparing for the national stage, ready to compete in the team's sixth-straight NAIA Tournament.
