No. 7 Corban Volleyball Secures CCC Regular-Season Title with Win Over LCSC

LEWISTON, Idaho – No. 7 Corban volleyball secured the Cascade Collegiate Conference (CCC) Regular-Season title and earned their 20th conference win with their 3-0 victory over the Lewis-Clark State College Warriors this evening. Tonight's win in Lewiston inked a spot in the record books for Corban volleyball, as no CCC team has ever won more conference games than the 2021-22 Warriors.

Head coach Kim McLain said, "The team came out tonight focused and playing with passion.  Our tough serving made a huge difference in the match tonight!

The visiting Warriors started strong in set one and took a 7-0 lead. The Navy and Gold attacked at a .412 clip and held LCSC to a -.087 hitting percentage. In the second set, Corban scored eight of the first 10 points, but LCSC stole the momentum and went on a 9-5 run making the score 13-11, which caused Corban to call its only timeout of the night. After that, the Navy and Gold never looked back and took both sets two and three.

Contributing to the second CCC Regular-Season title in program history was Avari Ridgway, who notched offensive and defensive team-highs with 11 kills and eight digs, and Rylee Troutman who tallied a season-high eight services aces in the contest.

Of note, Ridgway led the CCC this season with a an impressive .311 hitting percentage.

Jadyn Mullen and Allyson Reid were also game leaders for the visiting Warriors, Mullen with 16 assists and Reid with 3 blocks.
