SALEM, Ore. – With a combined ten goals in their respective victories on Friday afternoon, everyone at the Outdoor Athletic Complex this evening expected there to be multiple clock stoppages for scores on either side of the field, but instead went home emptyhanded with ninety minutes of scoreless soccer by the Corban University Men's Soccer team and The Evergreen State College. The Warriors (2-4-5, 2-2-3) and the Geoducks (4-5-2, 3-2-2) took 16 and 12 shots, respectively, through two full halves and came up shy on the scoreboard on all 28 opportunities.

Each team saw a myriad of chances throughout today's contest but couldn't locate the back of the net in what was the fifth tie of the season for Corban and just the second for Evergreen State. Warriors' redshirt senior forward Nate Sherwood led the field with five shots in total and one on goal, while defender Dakota Seddon and midfielder Kolby Juarez had three apiece for the Geoducks.

Each goalkeeper earned a solo shutout for their respective programs this afternoon, with Corban's redshirt sophomore Isaac Pureco picking up his first of the season thanks to a trio of saves. Geoducks' goalkeeper Brendan Gribek had two saves between the posts for the road team.

Corban men's soccer returns to their OAC for their final home games of the 2023 regular season next weekend, beginning with the Warner Pacific University Knights (7-3-1, 4-2-1) on Friday, October 13th at 4:30pm.
