Warrior Men’s Wrestling Ascends National Standings in Newest Coaches’ Poll

KANSAS CITY, Mo. – The National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) has released the second of six 2025-26 regular season Men's Wrestling Coaches' Top 25 Polls, where the Corban University Men's Wrestling program rose three spots to the No. 17-overall spot in the national rankings following an impressive showing at the Mike Clock Open just under two weeks ago.

"We're excited that the season is underway, that head-to-head matchups have started to occur, and that the results are working their way into the rankings," shared Warriors' head coach Nolan Harris. "It's still early in the season and our guys are getting their weights down in order to find their best fighting weight. I'm excited for when we're down to weight and in full force. The goal remains the same, wrestling well at the end of February at the conference tournament as well as March at the national championships. Until then, we'll continue to train right, trust the process, and take the necessary steps to be wrestling our best at the end of the season."

Corban gained ground within the Cascade Collegiate Conference (CCC) since the most recent national poll, as all but one squad ranked above the Navy and Gold fell in today's rankings while the Warriors rose three spots from a tie in 20th to a tie in 17th. No. 7-ranked Southern Oregon University, No. 11-ranked Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University, and No. 14-ranked University of Providence represent the highest CCC members, while Arizona Christian University is tied with Corban for 17th. No. 22-ranked Eastern Oregon University also dropped, with No. 25-ranked Montana State University-Northern holding down the final spot in the national rankings.

The individual Warriors receiving votes within their own weight class rankings include senior Blake Runion at 141lbs, senior Bo Davis at 149lbs, junior Jr Downing at 157lbs, junior Isaiah Twait at 184lbs, and redshirt senior Antonio Garcia at 285lbs. Both Twait and Garcia are ranked fourth within their respective weight classes, with Downing in 17th and Runion and Davis in 23rd and 24th, respectively.

The Warriors will next be in action this upcoming Sunday, November 23rd, as they'll send a clan of Warriors to the Spokane Open, hosted at The Podium and stretching across the entirety of the day with all ten collegiate weight classes stacked with notable grapplers.
