KANSAS CITY, Mo. – The NAIA unveiled its first Women's Volleyball National Selection Committee (NSC) Poll of the 2026 season, the first of a new era, replacing the Coaches' Poll for the remainder of the year. The Corban University women's volleyball team landed at No. 5 in the nation, solidifying its place among the NAIA's premier programs as the Warriors head into a crucial stretch of Cascade Collegiate Conference (CCC) competition later this evening and over the course of the next five weeks.
"Being ranked in the top five of the NAIA is such an honor, but what I'm most proud of is the growth of this team," said Corban head coach Kim McLain. "Competing in the incredibly tough Cascade Conference challenges us every match, and our team continues to respond, learn, and get better with each day. We know we can't settle or become satisfied, as there is always another level to reach. It's exciting to see how far we've come, and even more exciting to know how much room we still must grow. We're embracing the journey and staying focused on one match at a time!"
The Warriors rose one spot from their most recent Coaches' Poll ranking and jump back inside the national top five with a 14-5 overall record. Corban is one of five Cascade Collegiate Conference programs ranked in the top 25 and trails only top-ranked Eastern Oregon University among Pacific Northwest institutions.
Corban's national ranking comes on the heels of a challenging opening half of the season that included victories over several nationally-ranked opponents within a rigorous conference schedule. The Warriors have remained a fixture in the national rankings from the non-conference schedule onward, showcasing their consistency against one of the nation's toughest schedules.
The inaugural NSC Poll is topped by undefeated Eastern Oregon (21-0), followed by Northwestern College (Iowa), Concordia University (Neb.), and Morningside University (Iowa). Corban rounds out the top five while sitting ahead of fellow national contenders Aquinas College (Mich.), Bellevue College (Neb.), and The College of Idaho.

With the heart of the conference schedule now underway, the Warriors face another important stretch of matches as they look to solidify their standing within the CCC race and position themselves for postseason success. Two of the Warriors' next four opponents are positioned within the top 10 nationally, beginning with their I-5 interstate rivals who handed them a CCC-opening loss in early September and ending with the only undefeated programs remaining in the country, represented by No. 8-ranked College of Idaho and No. 1-ranked Eastern Oregon. At 6pm tonight, the Warriors will host Bushnell University (14-5, 7-3) on Tim Hills Court to kick off the second half of CCC play, looking to avenge their road loss to the Beacons earlier this year.
