Two of Corban Beach Volleyball’s Top Three Pairs Recognized as AVCA Top Flight Award Winners

LEXINGTON, Ky. – The American Volleyball Coaches' Association (AVCA) national office announced their 2026 AVCA Collegiate Beach Volleyball Top Flight award winners, where the No. 3-ranked Corban University Beach Volleyball program was represented by two of their top three pairings following their fifth-consecutive national semifinal run this past postseason.

"This award recognizes two of our Warrior pairs that were able to not just win over this past season, but to consistently do so among some of the best competitors across all divisions of collegiate athletics," briefly explained Corban head coach Dan Stephens.

The Top Flight program, now in its eighth year, recognizes beach pairs who compete in at least 15 matches together at a specific flight and win at least 75% of their matches. This year, the Warriors were represented by senior Alexis Adebodun and junior Cammie Masanda of the third overall pairing, alongside senior Emmi Marks and junior Emma Bischoff of the Dubs' top duo.

Stephens first discussed Adebodun and Masanda's award by sharing, "Alexis and Cammie fit these criteria at the 3s pairing and provided us with some fun matches against tough competition. They both have a lot of beach experience, and it showed in their strategy as they would exploit their opponent's weaknesses. We are so proud of them and are sad to see them move on from Corban following their collegiate careers."

The Navy and Gold's most consistent pairings during the 2026 season, the partnerships of Adebodun/Masanda and Marks/Bischoff were on top of their game during their upperclassmen campaigns, with Marks and Bischoff ending their postseason run at 30-2 overall while Adebodun and Masanda completed their final collegiate seasons at 24-9 after a national semifinalist finish. In Cascade Collegiate Conference (CCC) action, Marks/Bischoff nearly completed a perfect run at 14-1, while Adebodun/Masanda were a win behind them at 13-2.

"Emmi and Emma once again receive recognition for an outstanding year at the 1s pairing for us," continued Stephens, this time regarding his top overall duo. "They competed at a high level of skill and power that allowed them to keep opponents guessing on how to defend against them. This is another well-deserved award, and we are grateful to have them lead us at our top pairing."

Adebodun, Bischoff, Marks, and Masanda make up two of the 13 pairings from across the NAIA to be represented in this award's cycle and are the only duos from the CCC to earn the distinction as AVCA Top Flight honorees following the 2026 spring season. Across all levels of the NCAA, NAIA, and Two-Year Colleges, the Warrior quartet are responsible for two of 80 pairings from 35 different institutions honored by the AVCA.
