Corban Athletics

2010 (Junior): Appeared in four games in goal as a junior … Started one … Registered 11 saves … Did not allow a goal in 218 minutes and 13 seconds between the pipes … Recorded a career-high five saves against Western Oregon (8/25/10) … Helped lead Warriors to season-opening win over Western Oregon (3-0) en route to recording first shutout of her career.

TACOMA (Freshman & Sophomore): Played two seasons at Tacoma Community College … Helped team to first place finish at Northwest Regionals as a sophomore … Was part of team that advanced to NWAACC quarterfinals … Named Most Inspirational as a sophomore.

HIGH SCHOOL: Graduated in 2008 with academic honors from Tacoma Baptist High School … Competed four years in both basketball and softball, as there was no girls’ soccer team … Earned all-district honors all four years in basketball … Two-time team captain and all-league recipient in softball.

PERSONAL: Born in Walnut Creek, Calif. to Mark and Penny Kliewer … Is 1 of 4 children … Has 2 sisters (Amy & Karissa) and 1 brother (Kyle) … Enjoys drawing, playing piano, and softball … Major: Youth & Family Studies … Would like to become a counselor following graduation.

Why I chose Corban: “I felt God was leading me to Corban, plus I am able to continue playing soccer. I have talked to people who have gone or currently attend and they had great things to say about the University. Corban seems like a large family, which is part of what I was looking for in a college.”
