SIMPSON (Freshman & Sophomore): Attended Simpson University, but did not run on the cross country team.

HIGH SCHOOL: Graduated with honors from Triad High School in 2008 … Competed all four years in cross country, basketball, and track & field … Ran at the state cross country championships as a freshman, sophomore, & junior … helped lead basketball team to back-to-back 6th place finishes in state championships as a junior and senior … competed in the track & field state championship meet all four years … five-time 2nd place finisher at track & field state meet.

PERSONAL: Born in Klamath Falls, Ore. to Matt and Audrey Parsons … Is 1 of 2 children … Has 1 sister (Tess) … Married, Shawn Elliott, in June of 2011 … Major: Elementary Education … Would like to become an elementary school teacher following graduation.
