After a successful four-year playing career with the Warriors, Caleb Virtue made a move to the bench in the fall of 2013 as one of the graduate assistant coaches for the Warrior baseball program.  Then in the fall of 2015 he took over as the Pitching Coach for Corban.

“I am very excited to have Caleb Virtue back as our pitching coach," said head coach Derek Legg. "He has a great knowledge and ability to help get the best from our pitchers. Also, his desire to recruit and find the best players and fits will be huge for Corban Baseball moving forward. He and his wife, Jess, are going to be a big part of the family atmosphere we are going to create.”

Virtue will serve as the head pitching coach, recruiting coordinator, and assistant strength and conditioning coach. Moreover, he also works with Baseball Northwest as an Assistant Director of Operations and Tournament Director.

In his first season as the pitching coach, Virtue guided the Warriors to set a new program record for shutouts in a season with nine total.

During his senior season, Virtue compiled a win-loss record of 5-2 in 24 appearances that included four starts. Virtue finished third on the team in innings pitched with 73.1, while allowing 35 runs (25 earned) on 90 hits. The right-hander struck out 37 batters and tied for the team lead with two saves in his final season donning the Navy and Gold.

Prior to his senior campaign, Virtue was a combined 2-3 in 33 games on the mound for the Warriors. In three seasons, Virtue pitched a combined 75.1 innings, allowing 74 runs (60 earned) and struck out 27 batters.

Virtue earned his Masters in Education with an emphasis in ESOL. As an undergraduate at Corban, he earned a Bachelor of Science in Social Studies Education degree in 2013.

In his free time, he enjoys running, studying baseball, and spending time with the family. Virtue currently resides in Salem with his wife Jess.
