Jacob Garsez was elevated to Associate Head Baseball Coach in July of 2014.  He originally joined the Warrior Baseball staff in 2011.

Garsez worked with the Warriors' infielders and as the third base coach during the 2014 season.  Additionally, he has been the team's recruiting coordinator and hitting coach since July of 2012.  During the last three seasons, the Warriors have broken 11 individual offensive records and seven team offensive records.

"I am thankful for the opportunity Jeff McKay has provided me here at Corban over the past three years and feel blessed to continue to grow under his mentorship as a professional in the Corban community," Garsez stated.  "The development of the program has improved significantly over that time, and I look forward to having a more significant role carrying out our vision moving forward."

Prior to Corban, Garsez spent one season as the head baseball coach at Caldwell High School in Idaho. In 2011, Garsez was named 5A Southern Idaho Conference Coach of the Year after leading his alma mater to the playoffs for the first time in five seasons. Garsez also worked as an American Legion coach in 2009 and 2010, while also serving as head coach of the Caldwell Silverstreaks in 2011.

As a player at The College of Idaho from 2007-09, Garsez helped lead the Coyotes to a win-loss record of 89-63 that included a pair of NAIA Regional Runner-ups in 2007 and 2008. Prior to C of I, Garsez played at Columbia Basin College following a prep career at Caldwell High School where he was an all-conference and 1st team all-state selection as a senior.

Garsez married former C of I women's soccer player, Jennifer Phillips, in September of 2012.  Their son, Zander, was born on October 7, 2014.  The couple currently resides in Turner.
