2022: Clay had a remarkable season for the Warriors in 2022…recorded a team-leading .333 average and started all of the team’s 47 games…stole 11 bases and lead the team in singles, doubles, and triples…Drove in 31 runs and was named CCC Player of the Week as well as being named to the Academic All-District Team with Drew Scherrer for their exceptional performances on the field and in the classroom…
2021: A staple of the Warrior lineup prior to a season-ending injury, Clay played a major role for the Navy and Gold in his first season... A .295/.383/.760 slash line was near the top in productivity for the Warriors through 36 games prior to his injury... Clay also drove in 17 runs and stole 8 bases in 2021... Personal: Clay, a Spokane, Wash. native, attended Boise State University for his freshman academic year prior to joining the Warriors. In what will be his freshman year athletically, he could potentially contribute to both the lineup and the pitching staff as a two-way player. While playing for Central Valley High School, Clay was a First-Team All-League Pitcher in his junior season, and a First-Team All-League outfielder in his senior campaign.
Clay plans to major in biology during his time at Corban.
