Don Hiebenthal

Warrior Hall of Fame member Don Hiebenthall returns for his 12th season as an assistant coach with the Warriors at his alma mater.

During his coaching tenure, Hiebenthal helped lead Corban to a No. 1-ranking in NAIA Division II in 2005-06 when the Warriors began the season with a school-record 18-game winning streak. In 11 seasons, Hiebenthal has helped lead Corban to a pair of NAIA Division II national tournaments (2002-03 & 2005-06) as well as eight Cascade Collegiate Conference tournaments.

As a player for the Warriors, Hiebenthal played four seasons (1975-79) as a member of Western Baptist’s men’s basketball team helping lead the squad to back-to-back National Christian College Athletic Association (NCCAA) national tournaments and a pair of NAIA playoff berths. The former Dallas High School star is the fourth all-time leading scorer in program history with 2,460 career points and led the NAIA in scoring at 29.3 points per game as a senior. Hiebenthal was named UPI All-West Coast District 2 Player of the Year, NAIA 1st team All-American, NAIA Player of the Week, and NCCAA Player of the Week during his illustrious career.
