Jon Ing joins the Corban Warriors after a successful career at varying levels, with coaching experience at Gonzaga University, Peninsula College, and over 10 years of camp experience nationally and internationally.
Ing started out his coaching career in 2011 at Gonzaga University as a graduate assistant for the women’s basketball team and also served as a strength & conditioning assistant for all programs. In the two seasons at Gonzaga, he was a part of the coaching staff for the team that had back to back NCAA Tournament appearances, a Sweet 16 appearance in 2012, and a first-round win in 2013. The team also won back to back regular season WCC Conference Championships, while becoming WCC Tournament Champs in 2013.
In 2013, Ing became the assistant men’s basketball coach at Peninsula College, while also becoming the head strength & conditioning coach for the Pirates. In 2015, he was promoted to associate head coach for the men’s basketball team, leading the team to a 2015 North Division Title.
While at Gonzaga, Ing graduated with his Bachelor’s degree in Health and Fitness in 2011, while later finishing his Master’s in Sport and Athletic Administration in 2013.
Currently, he resides in Salem, Ore. He originally hails from Hood River, Ore., while also having lived in Spokane, Wash., and Port Angeles, Wash. In his spare time, Ing enjoys playing basketball, golf, traveling, fishing, hiking, camping, and finding great places to eat.
