Quilling was named a Corban Men's Basketball Assistant Coach entering the 2022-23 season, taking on the role of Gym Facilitator at the same time. He is responsible for the Corban Fitness Center and oversight of the C.E. Jeffers Sports Center, as well as supervising all university athletic facilities and schedules. In his first season with the Warriors, he helped guide the program to a 20-11 overall record. The Warriors also earned an at-large berth to the NAIA National Tournament, their first appearance since the 2016-17 season.
Before his time at Corban University, Quilling spent two seasons with the John Brown University Golden Eagles. With a COVID-shorted season in 2020-21, the Golden Eagles had an overall record of 27-20 during his time at JBU. Quilling assisted in all areas of the program from player development to scouting and recruiting. He led all of the preseason, in-season, and post-season strength and conditioning sessions.
Quilling’s coaching career started at his alma mater, Trinity International University in the Chicagoland area. He served on the staff for three years, having one of those seasons end in a trip to the NAIA Division II National Tournament. As a student-athlete at TIU, Quilling had a remarkable senior season in 2016-17. The Trojans posted a single season win record by finishing the campaign 30-6, capturing a Chicagoland Collegiate Athletic Conference (CCAC) title before making a run to the quarterfinals in the national tournament.
Nate and his wife, Hannah, currently reside in Salem, Ore. with their newborn son, Brooks.
