2024-2025: Appeared in 28 games this season and started in 27 of them for the navy and gold…Veliz averaged a total of 26.8 minutes per game…Scored an average of 9.3 points with 3.7 rebounds per game and had 84 assists this season…The 6’2 senior had a .503 field goal percentage, .338 three-point percentage, and a .823 free throw percentage…Secured 31 steals for the Warriors and defended with 8 blocks…Academic All-District…Member of the 2024-25 Corban Men’s Basketball team that finished in a tie for 5th-place in the Cascade Collegiate Conference standings, concluding their season in the CCC Quarterfinal round with an overall record of 15-14 and 13-9 in conference play. Two Warriors earned All-Conference recognition for their efforts in 2024-25, with two Academic All-District selections, four Academic All-Conference members, and four NAIA Scholar-Athletes…

Personal: Veliz joins the Navy and Gold after competing in NCAA DII for four years with Western Oregon University. At WOU, Veliz graduated Cum Laude with a 3.7 GPA, collecting two Great Northwest Athletic Conference all academic team awards. In high school, Veliz was a two-time conference player of the year, three-time first team all-state, and accumulated 2,130 points scored. He averaged 23 points, seven rebounds, and six assists per game his senior year, and set a school record of 43 points scored when he was a junior. Veliz was a high school varsity-starter for basketball and football all four years.

Veliz is pursuing a master’s in business administration during his time at Corban.
