Personal: Another JUCO product for Coach Harris and his staff, Velez-Fucal carries a heavy bat with him into the Warrior clubhouse from Blue Mountain Community College where he appeared in 81 games across two seasons, totaling 65 hits with 18 doubles, 42 RBI, and 34 runs scored on a .228 batting average and .316 slugging percentage. Velez-Fucal was also a two-time Second Team All-League honoree at the high school level for North Thurston.

A degree in business administration with area of focus on sports & recreation management awaits Velez-Fucal academically as he continues his collegiate baseball career.
