Corban announced in April of 2016 that Michelle Skyles had been hired as the head coach of the Warriors. Skyles joins the Warriors after an accomplished coaching career at a number of different levels.
In her first year as head coach, Skyles led Corban to a 14-15 overall record during the 2016-17 season, as the Warriors finished with a conference record of 8-12 and seventh place in the Cascade Collegiate Conference (CCC) regular-season standings. The Warriors ended their 2016-17 season in the CCC Tournament Quarterfinals.
Prior to Corban, Skyles was the top assistant coach at Seattle Pacific University where she coached for eight years, helping lead the Falcons to the NCAA Division II National Tournament in nearly every year she was on staff. During that time, she led the Falcons to a 179-55 overall record.
Prior to coaching at SPU, she spent one season at Eastern Washington University following a successful run of years at the high school level. At Jerome High School, she led her team to the Idaho 4A Championship and a perfect record of 25-0 in 2004. In her 10 seasons at the helm of Jerome, Skyles compiled a record of 190-61, qualifying for eight state tournaments while advancing to the championship game four times.
Skyles earned her degree from Northwest Nazarene University in Physical Education, competing in basketball, track, and soccer at NNU. She also set the career three-point shooting percentage on the basketball team. In addition, Skyles earned a Master of of Sports Administration from Seattle University.
